My Past, Present, and Future
Comparing my past to my present I see a
huge difference. My past was always about joining a soccer team, spending money
at the mall, or looking for excitement with my friends. I never had to worry
about anything because my mother was always there for me. She did teach us
about responsibility, manners and all that great other stuff and I must say
even though my mother was a single parent raising my siblings and I, she did a
great job. I grew up with two older brothers and an older sister. I was the
youngest of the four. I was born in Thousand Oaks, California and raised in
Moorpark. I am a very social person and get along with pretty much everyone. I
always worked in the morning and went out all night. After high school I had
decided to take a break from school and decided to just work. I now see that, was
my biggest mistake.
My present life feels different because
of all the responsibility I now have. I currently attend Oxnard College as a
full time student. I am a certified dental assistant and been working in the
dental field for 4 years now. I recently stopped working so I can attend school
and still have time for my kids. I have a three year old daughter named Destiny
and a one year old son named Robert. My kids are my biggest challenge in life
but I am determined to give them a great future. Whenever times get hard I know
I can always depend on my family to help me. I must admit one thing, I am a
very independent person. There are times I might need something but refuse to
ask anyone for help I would rather keep trying to get it myself.
In my future, I hope a lot of things are
different. For one I hope to get into the dental hygiene program. Getting into
the program would make me feel like as if I have accomplished my most important
goal. I always thought that by the time I was thirty years old I would buy a
house. I might not be buying a house soon but I am heading towards the right
path to get there. A lot of people have a timeline of when and how they want
their future to go, I on the other hand don’t. I just know that I want to be
better than now. Bigger and better opportunities will come my way. That will be
when I make my decisions.
